The Punjab education department announced summer vacations and a new academic session schedule for all public and private schools on Monday.
The new academic year 2022-23 will begin on August 1, according to a notification issued by the Punjab School Education Department.
This year, students will have a two-month summer break from June 1 to July 31, according to the notification.
Similarly, examinations for grades 1-8 will begin in May, according to a notification.
The Sindh education department recently announced that the new academic year 2022-23 will begin on August 1.
It was also agreed that annual examinations for elementary classes (grades 4-8) would begin on May 2, while matriculation examinations would begin on May 17. The examination results will be released on July 17.
The intermediate examinations will begin on June 15, and admissions to Higher Secondary Schools (HSC) will be open from July 1 to July 31.
The examination papers will be made up of 40% MCQs and 60% detailed questions, according to the Sindh education steering committee.
