PIA Reduces Fares for Umrah Pilgrims

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a fare reduction for Umrah pilgrims on Tuesday. The national flag carrier has reduced return fares from Pakistan to Madinah and Jeddah to Rs95,628.

Flights from Lahore to Jeddah, PK9759, and Islamabad to Jeddah, PK9741, have had their fares reduced. Fares on PK 9731 from Karachi to Jeddah and PK 9735 from Peshawar to Jeddah have also been reduced by Rs5,000, according to the PIA.

An official said last week that the Hajj Policy 2022 would be unveiled after signing an agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

According to a Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony official, the Saudi government’s decision to reopen Hajj to foreign pilgrims from around the world after a two-year-long break is good news for all Muslims.

He stated that the Hajj policy would be designed in accordance with the revised pilgrim quota, which the Saudi government is expected to announce soon.
