Suzuki Swift Prices Likely to Increase

Pak Suzuki debuted the new Swift in February 2022, following an 11-year long break for the previous generation model. The new Swift is available in three variants, all of which are powered by a fuel-efficient K-series 1.2L engine (82hp/ 113Nm).

The base GL manual variant costs PKR 24.99 lac, the GL CVT variant costs PKR 26.99 lac, and the top-spec GLX CVT variant costs PKR 28.99 lac.

The top-spec model’s equipment and safety features have made the Swift quite a handsome product, as the GLX CVT variant has become the most equipped Suzuki ever assembled in Pakistan. The Swift, like most Suzuki models, has received an overwhelming response, with a delivery period of more than 4 months already.

Suzuki Swift Prices Likely to Increase

Surprisingly, the company does not offer test drives for the latest model. According to reports, Pak Suzuki has instructed dealerships not to allow customers to test-drive vehicles. The company is taking a 100 percent advance payment on bookings, with over 2,500 units already booked.

There are also reports in the media that Pak Suzuki intends to raise the prices of new Swift variants. According to sources, prices could rise by up to Rs 300,000. With the Pakistani rupee reaching a record low of Rs 179.22 against the US dollar, car prices in Pakistan are expected to rise again, and the Suzuki Swift will be no exception. However, we will have to wait and see how this affects sales.
