NEC Decides in Principle to Close Markets at 8:30 pm

The National Economic Council (NEC) resolved in principle on Wednesday to close markets across the country at 8:30 p.m. to preserve electricity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over the meeting that resulted in the decision. Chief ministers from all provinces were present during the conference.

The chief ministers of Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab have requested two days to carry out the decision.
