The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has barred MS and MPhil admissions in all colleges across the country.
All university-affiliated colleges have been notified that they will not be able to offer MS, MPhil, or Ph.D. degrees, according to the regulator.
It stated that such degrees would no longer be certified or attested by it. The Punjab Department of Higher Education has hinted at the possibility of MS and M.Phil programs being offered in colleges.
