The Punjab Finance Department has suggested that the PTI’s low-income “Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program” be closed.
According to reports in the media, the PTI administration has inaugurated the Ehsaas Program across the country, which subsidizes food for the poor.
Citizens are offered a 30% discount on food purchased from registered stores under the program. An online gateway was also built for this program’s registration.
The Punjab Finance Department issued suggestions to stop the PTI administration’s program in Punjab shortly after the change of government.
The Punjab Finance Department has told the government that the federal government has got Rs 9 billion from Punjab under this program, according to official papers.
The department has also advised the Punjab government that if the federal government has not utilized the funds, they should be revoked.
Officials from the finance department claimed that the Chief Minister’s public utility package has already begun in Punjab, making it impossible for the province to manage two programs at the same time.
