The federal and provincial administrations have decided to implement a power-saving campaign in government offices.
“During working hours, the air conditioners of Grade 17 to 20 officers will be turned off for three hours,” according to the source.
According to insiders, the administration has opted to keep police informed about the power-saving program after the broader public. The drive will include the Wapda, LESCO, FBR, and railway departments.
“This campaign has added irrigation, communications, finance, and other agencies’ offices throughout the provinces,” insiders added.
As part of its power-saving initiative, the government has set a goal of conserving 30% of electricity each month.
