Toyota has started to tease the Yaris for 2023. On August 9, 2022, the brand-new D-segment car will be launched.
The automobile is built on the brand-new Daihatsu New Generation Architecture (DNGA), which also supports a number of Toyota’s portfolio of compact vehicles.
The teaser video displays a more proportionate design that borrows style cues from the 12th generation Toyota Corolla for the Asia-Pacific market.
According to the information available, the Yaris will come in both a hybrid and a regular combustion engine configuration. The conventional model will have a 1.2-liter petrol engine with naturally aspirated displacement that generates 87 horsepower (hp) and 108 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
The 1.5-liter three-cylinder motor in the hybrid model will provide 91 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque, while the twin electric motor system will generate 80 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. The only transmission used by the engine and electric motors to transfer power to the front wheels is the beltless e-CVT gearbox.
In Q3 or Q4 of 2022, Toyota is anticipated to introduce the 2023 Yaris in the ASEAN area. Unfortunately, the new Yaris won’t be making its debut in Pakistan anytime soon considering the country’s present economic situation.
