Restaurant at Karachi’s Do Darya Collapses into Sea [Video]

The Do Darya neighborhood of Karachi, a seaside area with restaurants on terraces viewing the Arabian Sea and sunset perspectives, saw a restaurant collapse on Sunday as a result of the city’s heavy rain.

Asad Raza, the SSP for South Karachi, claims that “Zaiqa” restaurant’s section that fell was caused by the restaurant’s wooden construction being undermined by severe rains.
The restaurant had been closed for the previous 12 years, the official stated, so thankfully, no casualties have been recorded.
