All-New Honda BR-V Launched [Video]

The brand-new second-generation Honda BR-V was introduced in Thailand, where 7-seat MPVs are in strong demand following a successful debut in Indonesia.

The 2022 Honda BR-V, which comes in two variations, costs 915,000 baht (PKR 55.55 lac) for the entry-level E variant and 973,000 baht (PKR 59.07 lac) for the top-of-the-line EL variant in Thailand.

The all-new BR-V, which is based on the N7X Concept, is larger than the type we have here, measuring 4,490 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a 2,695 mm wheelbase.

The first-generation BR-V that we are working with is 4,457 mm long, 1,735 mm wide, 1,677 mm high, and has a 2,662 mm wheelbase.

In comparison to the previous model, the new BR-V has a far better and more stylish design. 16-inch wheels, vented front disc brakes, drum brakes in the back, automatic LED headlights, LED DRLs, chrome outer door handles, and electrically adjustable side mirrors with turn signals are just a few of the exterior highlights.

The base E variant comes with a 4.2-inch multi-info instrument cluster display, two-tone leather upholstery in Black and Mocha Grey, automatic air conditioning with rear ceiling vents, keyless entry and start with Honda Smart Key and remote engine start, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a multi-function leather steering wheel, and four speakers inside.

The top-of-the-line EL variant adds bigger 17-inch wheels, a piano black front grille, LED front fog lamps, auto-folding side mirrors, paddle shifters, all-black combination leather upholstery, 6 speakers, and more convenience features like illuminated vanity mirrors, more power accessory outlets, and front seatback pockets.

Both models come equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driving aids as standard equipment. The suite includes a Lead Car Departure Notification System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, and Auto High-Beam (LCDN).

Honda LaneWatch, an all-seat seatbelt reminder system, a rearview camera, and the standard assortment of passive systems are also included (VSA, ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill start assist, walk away auto lock). The EL model has six airbags, compared to the E’s four. Malaysia and other ASEAN markets will get the brand-new BR-V after Indonesia and Thailand.
