The Haj and Umrah Ministry of Saudi Arabia stated that pilgrims would be allowed to pay for their Hajj and Umrah expenses in instalments.
The ministry has started allowing people to pay for their Umrah or Hajj in installments in an effort to make the holy journey accessible to everyone.
However, this offer is now only available to Saudi pilgrims, with hopes to eventually make it available to international travelers as well.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia is allegedly getting ready to start Hajj registration for the following season, the 2023/1444H Hajj season, for domestic pilgrims after the 2022/1443H Hajj season was successfully implemented last month.
It will be the first time the Ministry opens Hajj registration so early, and it will start in the month of Hijri Safar (September), thus the opening of Hajj registration is surely highly exciting.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also revealed that pilgrims could register for the yearly pilgrimage in instalments in addition to the news that the Hajj registration would open early.
The Ministry claimed that the instalment arrangement solely applies to Saudi pilgrims. Updates on foreign pilgrims will be provided soon.
Prospective pilgrims may pay the fee in two instalments, though specifics, such as which Saudi authorities will handle the instalment payments for Hajj and Umrah, have not been specified.
Undoubtedly, the program is a breath of fresh air for pilgrims, enabling them to perform their rituals with comfort and convenience in line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance the experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
