Early in 2021, Honda introduced the current model of the HR-V to compete with crossovers like the Toyota C-HR, Corolla Cross, Mazda CX-5, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and others.

It has a variety of powertrains available in different markets, including a hybrid electric version. Although these two engines are most likely to be found in the Pakistani-spec SUV,

  • A 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) gasoline engine with 145 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque and 119 horsepower (hp).
  • It has a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline turbocharged engine with 240 Nm of torque and 179 horsepower.

Modern Honda Sensing systems, such as blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, lane keep assist, autonomous braking, traffic sign reading, lane departure warning, etc., are all available on the HR-V.

Six airbags, parking sensors, smart infotainment, rain-sensing wipers, automated headlights, hill-start assist, hill descent control, electronic parking brake, and other features are among the additional features.

Given the current craze for crossovers in Pakistan, the Honda HR-V is most certainly going to revolutionize the auto market. According to market rumors, the HR-V could even force HACL to discontinue the Civic in Pakistan if priced appropriately.

Due to its high price, the tiny vehicle is already facing sales difficulties. For fans of the Civic, the possibility that the HR-V would surpass the brand’s flagship model in sales is a foreboding sign.
