Well Done! PTA denies the purchase of any iPhone 13 model in Pakistan. If you wish to import the gadget, PTA has revealed the payable taxes for all varieties of the iPhone 13, and it appears as though they are challenging anyone to even consider purchasing it.

PTA just made the following tax announcements about the DIRBS tax for iPhone 13 variants:
- Apple 13-Mini iPhone (All Variants) Tax Due: Rs. 132,000 for National ID holders and Rs. 108,000 for passport holders.
- Apple iPhone 13 (All Variants) Tax Due: Rs. 132,000 for National ID holders and Rs. 108,000 for passport holders.
- iPhone 13 Pro by Apple (All Variants) Tax Due: Rs. 132,000 for National ID holders and Rs. 108,000 for passport holders.
- iPhone 13 Pro Max from Apple (All Variants) Tax Due: Rs. 132,000 for National ID holders and Rs. 108,000 for passport holders.
If you are registering the phone on your passport, you must pay these taxes within 30 days of importation; if you are registering it on your ID card, you must pay them within 60 days.
Phones are already significantly more expensive in Pakistan than elsewhere in the world due to currency inflation there and the global increase in the cost of electronic gadgets, and the so-called “Low-range phones” have been outlawed.
For use in Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) levies a 30–40% DIRBS tax on all imported phones. This is a dumb idea because the government has done nothing to entice IT giants and foreign investors to establish manufacturing facilities or even assembling facilities in Pakistan. Instead, they coerce us into paying these absurd fees due to their own incompetence.
