Domestic consumers who used up to 300 units in June are exempt from paying Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) fees, according to the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).
For August, domestic customers are no longer required to pay FPA fees on their invoices. FPA charges for those who paid their bills in August will be refunded in September.

After seeing outrageous FPA charges on their bills for June, citizens vigorously protested. As a result, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that FPA fees will be waived for users of 201-300 units.
A representative for IESCO said that the business has helped consumers on directions from PM Shehbaz and Minister for Energy Khurram Dastagir in this regard.
According to the spokeswoman, IESCO customers who match the above standards and have submitted their August bills will have FPA costs applied to their September bills without having to physically visit an IESCO office.
The spokesperson made it clear that home customers who used 200 or fewer units in the previous six months had already received a discount of Rs. 6 per unit in their August bills.
