Turkish actor Celal Al of Dirilis: Ertugrul is in Karachi to Help Flood Affectees

Celal Al, the Turkish actor who plays Abdurrahman Alp in Dirilis: Ertugrul, has encouraged his fans to donate to flood victims in Pakistan by texting “Pakistan” to 2868.

Celal took to Instagram on Monday to share a video clip of himself in Karachi, talking to his fans about the floods in Pakistan and how he and the Red Crescent Team are on the ground helping flood victims.

“Karachi, Pakistan.” We are delivering your [donations] to those in need it most. “You can participate by texting [message] Pakistan to 2868,” he suggests.

As of Monday, floodwaters from Manchar Lake were still wreaking havoc in Dadu district, submerging another village, Mian Yaar Mohammad Kalhoro, with officials warning that more villages were under threat of inundation.

The actor first visited Pakistan early last year, where he won many hearts with his charitable work for Pakistanis through the Omair-Sana Foundation (OSF) and Children’s Hospital Karachi. He also admired Islamabad’s scenic beauty.

He also met Adnan Siddiqui and Humayun Saeed during his visit. His visit brought a special treat for fans: the first Pak-Turk collaboration on a TV show.
