Property Transfer Fee Fixed at 1pc in Punjab

The province’s property transfer fee has been set at 1% by Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

In a statement, he stated that the Punjab government’s revenue would shoot up, adding that the decision was made in the best interests of the public. The registration fee will be raised across the province, and our initiative aims to provide relief to the people.

According to him, this initiative will also promote the construction industry while creating many new jobs.

The decision was made at a meeting attended by SMBR Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Principal Secretary to the CM Muhammad Khan Bhatti, and Finance Secretary Iftikhar Amjad.

JAIL REFORMS: The chief minister presided over a special meeting pertaining to jail reforms Thursday at the chief minister’s office, where various proposals and recommendations for the welfare of the prisoners were forwarded.

The chief minister demanded a comprehensive plan for prison reform within seven days. The chief minister, who presided over the meeting, stated that prisoners who perform better in school will have their punishments reduced.

It was also decided that doctors working in jail hospitals would receive a special allowance of Rs1.5 lakh. During the meeting, it was suggested that each prisoner be given 300 minutes per month to talk with their family members.
