All You Need to Know About KP’s CMEEF Scholarship Program 2022

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) government has released information about the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund Scholarship (CMEEF) 2022.

This scholarship program is fully funded for undergraduate and graduate students and aims to provide a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 to cover all educational expenses.

This merit- and need-based scholarship program is made available by KP’s Higher Education Archives and Libraries Department. Scholarships are available for the BS, BE, MS, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs in the chosen fields and organizations.



Here is everything you should know about the CMEEF Scholarship Program for 2022:

  • Criteria for Admission to Undergraduate Programs
  • Only people with a KP domicile are eligible.
  • It is compulsory for candidates to meet “approved institutions” admission requirements.
  • Candidates must not have availed themselves of any other scholarship.
  • The monthly income of the student’s father or guardian must not be over Rs. 100,000 from all sources.
  • Candidates must sign a bond or undertaking.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate and Ph.D. Programs

  • Only people with a KP domicile are eligible.
  • For MS, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs, candidates must meet admission requirements (on merit) or have a valid offer of admission in a recognized field or organization.
  • For MS/MPhil candidates, a minimum GRE/GAT (general or subject) score of 50% is required; for Ph.D. candidates, a minimum GRE/GAT (general or subject) score of 60% is required.
  • Candidates must be under 50 years old as of the institution’s advertised the last date for receiving applications.
  • Candidates need to have a stellar academic record (minimum 1st division or CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or 3.75 out of 5).
  • The candidate cannot be receiving any other scholarships.
  • The candidate’s father or guardian’s total monthly income cannot exceed Rs. 100,000.
  • Candidates must offer a bond or commitment.

  • A monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 will be given to candidates.

How to Apply

For the above programs, candidates can apply for scholarships directly at the chosen institutions.


The scholarship application deadline is expected to be on November 15, 2022. Candidates are therefore urged to apply as soon as possible. They are advised to continue checking KP’s CMEEF website, though, for the precise deadline.

Other Details

  • If the candidate gives false or inaccurate information, their scholarship will be revoked.
  • Applications cannot be submitted at the Management Unit Office because they won’t be accepted.
  • Before November 15, 2022, selected institutes will submit recommendations for undergraduate programs and for Ph.D. and postgraduate programs before December 15, 2022.
