The speed limit on some parts of various motorways throughout Pakistan has been considerably lowered by the National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP).

Details indicate that the NH&MP has lowered the speed limit to help prevent accidents on highways.

The Thokar Niaz Baig to Ravi Toll Plaza part of the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) now has a speed limit of 80 km/h (KPH) for HTVs and 100 km/h (KPH) for LTVs.

On the Pindi Bhattian-Multan Motorway (M-4), the Lahore to Sambrial Section of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11), and the Hakla to Yarik Section of the Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway, the aforementioned speed limit will also be in effect (M-14).
