You Can Now Travel to Murree for Just Rs. 100

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has formally launched a shuttle bus service between Islamabad and Murree. The initiative aims to simplify life for the year-round visitors to the hill resort who are tourists.

According to the information, a shuttle service connects Lower Topa and Bhara Kahu. A bus departs from the terminal every 90 minutes. For each passenger, a one-way trip costs Rs. 100.

Individuals over 65 and children under 12 are eligible for free travel. The public has praised the CDA for providing a practical travel option.

The shuttle service, according to Chairman CDA Captain (r) Muhammad Usman Younis, also seeks to reduce traffic on the Murree Expressway during peak travel times.

A shuttle bus service between Murree and Islamabad has already been introduced. An earlier initiative of this kind was started by the Punjab government in July 2022.

The provincial government ran 15 buses between Islamabad and Murree during Eid-ul-Azha the previous year. A one-way ticket cost Rs. 100 for tourists a year ago.
