While speaking at the 4th Financial Crime Summit held here, the President shared these opinions. The summit was attended by Salim Raza, the former governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Kazi Rahat Ali, the secretary general of the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA), as well as other notables from various fields.

When discussing the financial state of the nation, the President expressed regret that we had not learned from the past and that other nations had advanced economically faster than Pakistan. He argued that political cooperation was essential to resolving the current financial crisis and backed the government’s proposal to conserve energy by closing the markets in the evenings.

He continued that in order to stop financial crimes, it was essential to enact strict laws, ensure that they were followed, apprehend corrupt individuals, execute just punishments, and deter both material and moral corruption in society.

The President remarked that Quaid-e-Azam had also drawn attention to the pervasive corruption among Muslim elites in the Indo-Pak region and added that coordinated efforts were needed to transform Pakistan into a nation based on morality and the teachings of its founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The President emphasized the benefits of digitalization for women’s access to a variety of fields and their increased empowerment. He claimed that Pakistan lacked adequate cyber defenses and stated that he had urged the country’s leadership and various institutions to pay attention to this problem. He asserted that in order to make rapid progress, we would have to overcome resistance to technology use and implement behavioral changes.

The President expressed regret that the international order was based on vested interests rather than morality and international law in light of India’s impunity in committing atrocities and violating human rights against its minorities, particularly Muslims in India and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He said Pakistan believed the international community and its institutions could resolve the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, but added that this belief might have been misplaced.
