Suzuki raises prices by up to Rs355,000

The price of several models was increased by Rs. 115,000 to Rs. 355,000 by Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd. (PSMCL).

Prior to this, the prices had already been raised by Honda Atlas Cars Ltd (HACL) by Rs300,000-Rs550,000 and Indus Motor Company (IMC) by Rs280,000-Rs1.2m, respectively.

The Alto VX, VXR, VXR AGS, and AGS now cost respectively Rs1.859 million, Rs2.156 million, Rs2.310 million, and Rs2.423 million, an increase of between $160,000 and $200,000 from their previous prices.

After a price increase of Rs 208,000–257,000, the WagonR R VXR, R VXL, and R AGS variants now cost Rs 2.629 million, Rs 2.789 million, and Rs 3.059 million, respectively.

The price of the Suzuki Cultus VXR, VXL, and AGS has increased from Rs285,000 to Rs335,000 to Rs3.309 million, Rs3.339 million, and Rs3.569 million, respectively.

The new suggested retail prices for Suzuki’s GL MT, GL CVT, and GLX CVT are Rs. 3.479 million, Rs. 3.742 million, and Rs. 4.115 million, respectively. This represents a rise of 299,000 to 355,000 rupees.

Suzuki Ravi models with and without a deck will be available for Rs1.539m and Rs1.464m, respectively, an increase of Rs115,000 from Rs1.424m and Rs1.349m.

The Bolan Van and Bolan Cargo now have revised prices of Rs. 1.619 million and Rs. 1.606 million, respectively.

Shafiq Ahmed, a spokesperson for PSMCL, claims that the company has only partially passed on to clients the cost of rising overhead and the state of the economy.
