Users of WhatsApp can check read receipts to see if a message has been delivered or received by the intended recipient. A single tick means the message was successfully sent, and a double tick means it made it to the recipient’s phone.

The blue double-check, on the other hand, denotes that the message has been read by the recipient. There might be times, though, when you do not want to read a message in the chat and do not want the sender to be aware of it.

Keep in mind that only Android smartphone users can use the trick. Here is a detailed instruction.
- Step 1: Long-press on your Android smartphone’s home page.
- Step 2: After that, tap “Widgets.” The screen will display each app widget.
- Step 3: Scroll down and look for the WhatsApp widget. Touch it.
- Step 4: Your phone’s home screen will now display the widget.
- Step 5: Press “Done.”
- Step 6: Long-press the widget now, then place it on top.
You will see chat messages aligned according to the WhatsApp app once you have successfully set up the widget. The entire message can be read here. To avoid opening WhatsApp chat, don’t tap on any chat, as a double blue tick will appear next to the message.
