The first draw after the restart will occur on March 1, and all of the receipts from February and the suspended period will also be included. The POS Prize Draw Scheme will continue to be conducted in a transparent manner to give the public equal opportunities to participate, according to a notification the FBR released in this regard.

It is important to keep in mind that FBR suspended the POS Prize program in November last year with the promise to enhance the system and include more incentives. The FBR started the program in January 2022 in an effort to promote sales documentation and encourage customers to request receipts for their purchases, both of which would help increase tax collections.

Customers who participate in the POS lucky draw program can use the FBR mobile app to scan the QR code on the receipts from Tier-1 retailers to verify their entries online.
