Users will soon be able to mute calls from unidentified numbers on WhatsApp, the instant messaging service owned by Meta. Users who are sick of getting unwanted calls from obnoxious numbers will find relief when the feature launches, which is anticipated to happen in the upcoming months.

The feature is still in development and will appear in an upcoming version of the app. According to WABetaInfo, users will still be able to see calls from unknown numbers in their call log and notification center even though they can mute them. Calls from unknown numbers will be automatically muted when the new feature is enabled in the app’s settings.
The calls won’t disturb users, but they will still show up in the call list and notification center. Additionally, the feature will be particularly helpful for reducing spam calls, which have recently grown to be a significant issue. This feature could potentially prevent spam calls and reduce interruptions, according to WABetaInfo.
