The dates for accepting applications for the Hajj in 2023 have finally been made public by the federal government.
After the federal cabinet approved the Hajj Policy 2023, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, the federal minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony, revealed the dates in a formal press conference.

According to the information, the procedure for submitting Hajj applications will start on March 16 (a Thursday) and end on March 31 (a Friday). The first week of April will see the drawing for Hajj applications.
To avoid any inconvenience, interested applicants are therefore obligated to prepare the necessary documents in advance.

According to the Minister, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan have both been impacted by the global recession. The price of Hajj under the government’s program has increased by Rs. 3 lac as a result of the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee.
The Minister also mentioned the approval of a sponsorship program. If this scheme is used to its full potential, it will contribute $194 million toward the $284 million needed to carry out this year’s Hajj scheme successfully. The Finance Ministry promised to pay the remaining balance.
