Govt to Provide Rs. 50 Per Liter Subsidy on Petrol for Motorcycles, Small Cars

The federal government will now provide free petrol to low-income people who drive motorcycles, rickshaws, and cars up to 800 cc.

On Sunday in Lahore, the meeting regarding the proposed relief package for petroleum users was presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The prime minister ordered that in addition to motorcycles and rickshaws, cars with engines up to 800 cc be included in the subsidized petrol program. The price for the subsidized segment will be significantly decreased by the government’s plan to subsidize the cost of gasoline by 50 rupees per liter.
The prime minister instructed the relevant authorities to expedite the proposed program’s implementation and told the interested parties to develop a thorough plan.

According to the premier, the subsidy will help the underprivileged section of society, who noted that the common man uses motorcycles, rickshaws, and smaller cars.

It is important to note that the government still needs to provide specifics regarding the implementation of this subsidy.
