NADRA Introduces Pak-ID Mobile Application

In order to better serve its citizens, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has released the Pak-ID mobile application. The app will make it easier for people to apply for a National Identity Card.

Citizens can now apply for their identity cards and other documents while seated at home.

The newest mobile app, which people can access and apply for from anywhere in the nation, is another initiative NADRA has taken to help out its customers.

The chairman of Nadra, Tariq Malik, urged the general populace to learn more about the effectiveness of the application. Pakistan became the first nation to implement “ID Technology” thanks to NADRA’S mobile app.

Furthermore, a beta version of the upcoming Pak-ID mobile app is already in use.
Citizens can have their ID documents delivered to their doorstep once they have completed the entire application process through this app while sitting at home.

According to Tariq Malik, the mobile app has a system for document identification and a facility for biometric verification. The mobile app allows citizens to upload required documents.

He continued, “Fingerprints, photos, and digital signatures can all be added to the online application. The initiative will therefore play a crucial role in assisting Pakistan in achieving its digital goals.

The opportunity is available to citizens who download it from the Google Play Store for Android users. Apple users can access it simultaneously through the Apple Store (iOS).

Unfortunately, Pak-Identity, a NADRA online identity issuance service, offers a complete answer for requesting an identity card.
By requesting the following forms of identification, Pakistani citizens can use this app:

  • Modification of CNIC
  • Reprint/Lost of CNIC
  • Renewal of CNIC
  • New NICOP
  • Modification of NICOP
  • Renewal of NICOP
  • Lost/Reprint of NICOP

Additionally, it facilitates a variety of features, including:

  • Capturing fingerprints with a mobile camera
  • An application list in the user’s inbox
  • biometrics-based account login
  • Digital signatures are captured using the touchscreen on the phone.
  • Through OTP-attested verification
  • Using the mobile camera or the upload option, upload documents
  • Using the camera on a mobile device to take an ICAO-based picture.
