The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a number of directives for Umrah pilgrims due to the reverence of Masjid al-Haram.
It urged pilgrims to respect others’ privacy and not take photos or videos of others without their permission. It also reminded pilgrims not to photograph worshippers or disturb them in any way.

Similarly, Saudi Civil Defence has advised pilgrims not to bring luggage to the holy mosque, which causes problems for other pilgrims.
To ensure that these guidelines are followed, the Haramain Sharifain administration has assigned female officials to guide female pilgrims.

The administration has also stated that it will hire female guides who speak Urdu, English, Turkish, Persian, French, or Uzbek so that pilgrims will have no difficulty communicating.
In addition to 68 praying areas, 22 entry points, and 11 toilets, additional corridors for women have been installed throughout Masjid al-Haram.

In order to accommodate more people, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has also announced that pilgrims can only perform one Umrah during Ramadan. It has reminded pilgrims that an Umrah permit must be obtained through the ‘Nusuk’ app.
