Gold’s value in Pakistan hit a new high on Thursday as a result of rising gold prices internationally and the country’s ongoing economic unrest.

The price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs 2,600 per tola and Rs 2,229 per 10 grams, to reach Rs 225,300 and Rs 193,158, respectively, according to data from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
Gold’s price on the world market increased by $29 to end the day at $2,044 per ounce.
