Pakistan Launches First-Ever Air Taxi Service

The CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, Imran Aslam Khan, explained that customers can select their preferred time and location using a user-friendly mobile app that is similar to well-known taxi booking apps. This convenience and adaptability will change how people travel within Pakistan.

The cost-effectiveness of this service is one of its most appealing features. These air taxis will cost considerably less than conventional charter flights, which can cost up to Rs2.5 million to travel from Karachi to different cities in Sindh and Balochistan. With the introduction of this new service, a wider range of passengers will be able to travel conveniently and affordably.

The air taxi service will initially have access to eight aircraft, each with two to six seats. However, this is only the beginning as more aircraft will be released soon to meet the escalating demand. Sky Wings recently added a DA 40 Diamond airplane from a renowned German manufacturer to its fleet. In addition to the pilot’s seat, this impressive aircraft has three additional seats and a top speed of 160 knots (roughly 300 km/h).

The ease of booking these aircraft was emphasized by COO Khan in a conversation with Geo News. Customers will be able to book a ride using popular transportation apps like Careem, Uber, and Bykea.
