A local news channel reported that the Pakistani government had set May 25 as a public holiday.
It has been set aside as “Pakistan Martyrs’ Honor Day” to commemorate and remember the sacrifices made by the martyrs for the country.

On this day, floral wreaths will be placed on monuments honoring the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, police, and other law enforcement agencies. Additional events will be held at the Pakistan Navy’s and Pakistan Air Force’s headquarters in addition to the main ceremony, which will take place at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
