WhatsApp has officially launched its stable version of the app for smartwatches running Wear OS 3 and above.
This app allows users to stay connected with others even without their smartphones, offering various interaction options, including voice messages, emojis, regular text, and quick replies. It benefits cellular connectivity in particular for LTE-enabled smartwatches with eSIM support.

The release strategically coincides with the July 26 introduction of Samsung’s newest Galaxy Watch 6 series. WhatsApp’s expansion into the wearable market is expected to attract more Android users, contributing to customer retention. However, there is still no dedicated WhatsApp app available for Apple Watches.
