Elon Musk and Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino introduced a new logo for the social media platform, replacing the iconic blue bird with a simple white “X” on a black background.

Excitedly, Yaccarino tweeted, “X is here! “Let us do this,” the message read, along with a picture of the logo displayed on Twitter’s San Francisco offices.
Both Musk and Yaccarino updated their Twitter handles with the new X logo, but the blue bird remains visible throughout the platform.

Musk had previously asked his millions of followers whether they preferred changing the site’s color scheme from blue to black, sharing a stylized X against a black, space-themed background. The “interim X logo” was used to describe this.
Yaccarino, who took over as Twitter CEO on June 5, faces the challenge of reversing a decline in advertising revenue for the social media platform, coming from her previous position as the advertising chief at NBC Universal.
