UAE Issues Guidelines on Long-Term Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa

The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has introduced a new long-term, five-year, multiple-entry tourist visa. Tourists can apply for this visa online or through the ICP’s app, regardless of their location, and no sponsor is required.

With this visa, travelers can stay in the UAE for up to 90 days per visit and can extend their stay for an additional 90 days. The total cost of the visa is AED 3,775, which may vary based on the application details.

To apply for the visa, applicants need to submit a stamped, colored bank statement showing a minimum balance of $4,000 for the past six months and have UAE-issued health insurance valid for 180 days. Families can also apply for a family visa, if applicable.

The five-year visa allows multiple entries into the UAE, with each stay not exceeding 90 days. Unused days cannot be carried over to the next visit or year, and overstaying beyond the 90-day limit may invalidate the visa.

Applicants can submit their applications through the ICP’s website, app, customer happiness centers, or ICP-accredited typing offices. It is essential to ensure all required documents are submitted and fees are paid.

Incomplete or erroneous applications risk cancellation after 30 days and will be permanently canceled if returned three times for the same reason. Any delays in resubmission on the same day will incur daily fines. In the event of rejection, only the issuance fee will be refunded, so accuracy and completeness are crucial during application submission.
