Saudi Tourism Authority To Launch Nusuk Travel App In Pakistan Today

The Saudi Tourism Authority is launching the Nusuk travel app in Pakistan today, Tuesday, following an agreement between Islamabad and Riyadh to expand flights and boost tourism.

Nusuk is Saudi Arabia’s inaugural official platform for planning, booking, and enhancing travel experiences, specifically for creating Hajj or Umrah itineraries spanning Makkah, Madinah, and more. With Nusuk, global travelers can effortlessly organise their entire Kingdom visit, from eVisa applications to hotel and flight reservations.

The launch of the app will be held in Karachi, and it will be led by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, who embarked on a four-day visit to Pakistan alongside a delegation including deputy ministers of Hajj and Umrah, tourism, and international cooperation, Saudi Airlines’ president, and representatives from civil aviation and Saudi Aviation.

The launch event will witness participation from Pakistan’s business community, Hajj and Umrah tour operators, and other stakeholders. Furqan Abdul Kadir, convener of the Central Standing Committee on Hajj and Umrah at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), highlighted that the platform aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at enhancing tourism to connect Saudi Arabia with the world.

Kadir emphasized that the app’s debut would offer travellers direct access to various Saudi cities, streamlining travel for Pakistanis and fostering stronger people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Tourism Authority views tourism development as pivotal to the Kingdom’s growth trajectory, with tourism being a central pillar of Vision 2030, focused on diversifying the economy and reducing reliance on oil.

The Ministry of Tourism, the Saudi Tourism Authority, and the Tourism Development Fund were established to support the sector’s expansion in alignment with international standards.

This launch follows closely after Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s agreement to increase flight connections, with Dr. Al-Rabiah stating that the arrangement would contribute to reducing travel costs.
