According to the IT minister, telecom companies in Pakistan will be able to offer mobile phones to citizens through leasing plans, extending the benefits of mobile broadband to a wider audience.

The imminent launch of smartphone installment plans is anticipated to equip all citizens in Pakistan with smartphones. With the overarching goal of boosting the economy and encouraging the use of e-commerce.

How to Apply For Government Mobile Phones On Easy Installments

GSMA Smartphone for All Scheme: The revolutionary program is designed to empower individuals to acquire smartphones ranging from Rs10,000 to Rs100,000 through easy installments spanning a payment duration of 3–12 months.

Eligibility: Citizens with valid ID cards, including students, professionals, and those with low incomes, will qualify to participate in the scheme.

Interest-Free Installments: Under the proposed plan, Pakistanis can acquire smartphones on interest-free installments by making a minimum 20 percent down payment.

Pakistan maintains its position as the seventh-largest mobile phone market globally. However, with 190 million mobile phones in use, the ‘Smartphone for All’ project aims to bridge the digital divide, ensuring that smartphones become more accessible to a diverse range of citizens.
