Punjab’s New “Dastak Doorstep Services” App Delivers Govt Documents to Your Home

The Punjab government has introduced a new mobile application called “Dastak – Doorstep Services” to make it easier for citizens to obtain important documents from home. Available on the Google Play Store and marketed as “Maryam ki Dastak,” the app is expected to be released on iOS soon.

Important Note: Choosing the Correct App

When searching for the app on the Play Store, users should be aware of a similar app called “Dastak Facilitator,” which has been available for over a year and only functions in Lahore. This app, developed by the Punjab IT Board, is different from the newly launched “Dastak – Doorstep Services” app. The new version supports multiple cities across Punjab, including Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and more, although its effectiveness in these areas is yet to be reviewed.

How the App Works

The “Dastak – Doorstep Services” app allows users to request various government documents from home, such as birth and death certificates, domicile certificates, marriage certificates, e-stamping services, and new motor vehicle registrations. Users need to provide required items like passport-size photos, CNIC, and application forms.

Once a request is made, a government agent or third-party facilitator will visit the user’s home to collect the necessary items and charge a delivery fee of Rs. 1200. If all the provided items are correct, the requested documents will be processed and delivered back to the user within 9 days.

Earning Opportunities

The app also allows individuals to earn money by becoming third-party facilitators. Interested persons can sign up through the “Dastak Facilitator” app, which currently operates in Lahore. Facilitators earn a commission by providing these document services to citizens at home.

Eligibility Criteria for Facilitators

To become a facilitator, individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria, which can be found in the “Dastak Facilitator” app. This role allows facilitators to assist citizens and earn an income by delivering government services to their doorstep.

Try the App

Users are encouraged to try the “Dastak – Doorstep Services” app and share their experiences in the comments. The install link for the app is available in the first paragraph of this article.
