Saudi Arabia Eases Visa Requirements for Pakistani Travelers

Saudi Arabia, a popular destination for Pakistani travelers, has simplified its tourist visa requirements. Applicants can now submit a bank statement showing a minimum monthly credit of USD 750 or equivalent.

Pakistani tourist arrivals to Saudi Arabia increased by 43 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year. Saudi Arabia aims to welcome 2.7 million Pakistani visitors in 2024.

To support this growing demand, Saudi Arabia has made it easier for Pakistani travelers to get a visa through one of six Tasheer offices in Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan.

These Tasheer offices provide a convenient and user-friendly experience, including visa application guidance, biometric enrollment, status tracking, and passport delivery. Travelers can schedule an appointment on the Tasheer website before their visit.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia has introduced a transit visa for travelers arriving via Saudia and Flynas, allowing them to explore the country for up to 96 hours. Travelers holding a valid and used UK, US, or Schengen visa can also get a visa on arrival.

Last year, Saudi Arabia introduced a one-year multiple entry visa for Pakistani travelers. This visa is ideal for those visiting for personal reasons like attending weddings or visiting friends and family. Holders of this visa can make multiple visits within 12 months, exploring Saudi Arabia’s vibrant cities, rich culture, and natural wonders.

Pakistani travelers with the one-year multiple entry visa can also perform Umrah, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting spiritual journeys and cultural exchanges.

Making it easier to get a visa will encourage more Pakistani travelers to visit friends and family, perform Umrah, and explore Saudi Arabia. From Riyadh’s vibrant cityscape and Jeddah’s cultural richness to the Red Sea’s hidden treasures and AlUla’s ancient marvels, Saudi Arabia offers a variety of experiences year-round. Cooler regions provide a summer escape, while a busy calendar of events attracts tourists throughout the winter.
