In a significant move to empower women in Faisalabad, the local police have introduced the first all-female Dolphin Squad. This pioneering squad will consist entirely of female officers, taking on duties traditionally performed by their male counterparts.
Empowering Women Through Action
The introduction of this female squad is aimed at boosting the morale and visibility of women in law enforcement across the country. These officers will tackle everyday disruptions and help maintain peace, thereby setting an empowering example for women nationwide.
Specialized Training
To prepare for their new roles, the female officers have undergone rigorous training. This includes mastering the operation of 500cc heavy bikes and automatic weapons, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle their duties effectively.
Collaborative Efforts
The all-female Dolphin Squad will work in conjunction with male officers. The team will include 500 women commandos responsible for setting up roadblocks and conducting snap checks throughout Faisalabad.
Focus on Public Safety
According to the Chief Police Officer (CPO) of Faisalabad, the female Dolphin Squad will be initially deployed in public areas with high female presence, such as universities and markets. This strategic placement will provide women in these areas with a sense of security and ease.
Addressing Women’s Concerns
The presence of female officers will allow women in public places to comfortably communicate any issues they encounter. This initiative aims to make public spaces safer and more accessible for women, fostering an environment where they can freely express their concerns.
The launch of Faisalabad’s all-female Dolphin Squad marks a significant step towards gender equality in law enforcement, offering a powerful example of women’s capabilities and contributions to public safety.
