WhatsApp Rolls Out “Favorite Chats” Feature in Latest Update

WhatsApp has rolled out a new “favorite chats” feature as part of its latest update, enhancing the user experience by allowing users to prioritize their most important conversations. This feature, which had been hinted at earlier this year, is now available with the release of WhatsApp for iOS version 24.16.79.

Key Features of the Update:

  • Favorite Chats: Users can now mark specific contacts and groups as favorites, making them more accessible. This feature allows for easier management of key conversations by letting users add, remove, or rearrange favorites within a newly added “favorites” section in the app’s settings.
  • Enhanced Accessibility: Once a chat is marked as a favorite, it will appear at the top of the calls tab, providing quicker access to important conversations and a more organized chat list.
  • Updated Calling Interface: Alongside the favorite chats feature, the update also brings a revamped calling user interface (UI), designed to offer a more intuitive and reliable experience. The new UI makes it easier for users to access calling features, enhancing overall usability.

Gradual Rollout:

WhatsApp has noted that these features are being rolled out gradually, so users can expect to see them on their devices over the coming weeks. This update is part of WhatsApp’s continuous efforts to improve user experience and cater to the needs of its global user base.
