Apple has officially confirmed that its much-anticipated iPhone 16 launch event will take place on September 9th, a bit earlier than initially rumored. The tech giant sent out media invites today with the intriguing tagline, “It’s Glowtime.”
The event is scheduled to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater within Apple Park in Cupertino, California, beginning at 10 PM PKT.
Alongside the iPhone 16 lineup, Apple is also expected to introduce the new Apple Watch Series 10 (or Apple Watch X) and updated AirPods. Pre-orders for these newly announced products are anticipated to open shortly after the event, with the first wave of shipments likely to reach select countries by September 20th.
Additionally, Apple is rumored to introduce a new color option for the iPhone 16 Pro models, possibly a unique Gold shade that leans towards a copper-brown hue. This new color choice marks a noticeable shift from the usual cool tones of the Pro series, offering a warmer, more distinctive look. However, as with all pre-release rumors, these details are based on dummy models, and the final versions might differ or even feature a completely new color.
The iPhone 16 is also set to debut with Apple’s latest AI-powered features under the brand name “Apple Intelligence,” integrated with iOS 18. This technology leverages generative AI capabilities from OpenAI and Google’s Gemini, signaling a significant advancement in Apple’s AI strategy.
