Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said, “On Dec 31 the PIA will operate special flights from Kuala Lumpur to bring the expatriates of Malaysia, which were released from prison because of PM efforts,”
They didn’t have money to fly to Pakistan.
He said that the problem with his Malaysian counterpart Dr Mahathir Mohamad, which led to their release, has been taken up by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
A special flight for the return of Pakistani citizens was not available for any other airline, so the PIA chief executive officer Air Marshal Arshad Malik announced.
The Pakistani are scheduled to be received on the IIA by Mr Khan and the senior officials of the Foreign Office and PIA.
On the 30th of May, 320 Pakistanis primarily arrived in Islamabad on a special flight because of the closing of Pakistan’s airspace to foreign airlines.
Some of the Pakistanis had been arrested by the authorities of Malaysia because their residency permits and tickets expired because the airspace was closed off in Pakistan.
Different arrangements were made at the IIA for facilitating the Pakistani by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
