Car wash owners now have an influx of sacrificial animals ready to be cleaned and bathed for Eid-ul-Azha. Locals are now bringing them to the car cleaners and scrubbing them with soap and water.
One such car wash owner in Karachi, Sheikh Sagheer was once spotted cleaning his own cattle a day ahead of Eid. Then locals followed suit and started to bring their own animals as well. Sagheer told Arab News Pakistan:
“The people who saw me washing the animal came to me with their own… that’s how this trend started,”
Usually when the animals are bought from cattle markets they are dirty, dusty, smelly and speckled with dung. So in order to make them feel clean Sagheer turns his car wash into cow wash and charges only PKR100 per animal, which is nothing to say the least.
Also, due to the rampant virus outbreak in the country, Sagheer claims that he makes it a point to use sanitizers for not only himself but for animals too.
This Eid, across the nation around 8 to 10 million animals will be sacrificed according to the Pakistan Tanners Association. Before sacrificing them, make it a point to give them a clean and refreshing bath as they particularly enjoy it as well.
