Applications are still being accepted for the government’s program for the Hajj in 2023 through the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. To fill the available seats, applications will be processed in the order they are received. The application deadline is June 2nd.

Although the initial application deadline has passed, this new opportunity has become available. The sponsorship program will receive half of the quota for the Hajj season. This program is a special option for Hajj pilgrims who wish to obtain foreign currency from another country through a designated dollar account with the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The first flight by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) carrying 328 pilgrims departed Karachi for Saudi Arabia on May 21 as part of the current Hajj operations for pilgrims from Pakistan.
For this operation, which aims to fly over 65,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, PIA employs Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 aircraft. Sajjad Haider, the Director of Hajj Karachi, Imtiaz Shah, and the Benazir Income Support Program Director General were all in attendance.
