Starlink Satellite Broadband is Now Officially Registered in Pakistan

The registration of SpaceX’s Starlink in Pakistan was discussed during a meeting between Director of Global Licensing and Market Activation at SpaceX, Ryan Goodnight, and Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Syed Aminul Haq.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has received Starlink’s registration, according to the Minister.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss how affordable broadband services could be made available throughout Pakistan using Starlink’s quickest and least expensive satellite internet services.

Even in remote locations where inactive mobile towers could be activated at a low cost, the Minister expressed his optimism that Starlink’s services could significantly lower the operational costs of telecom operators.

According to the minister, Starlink “can play a significant role in this regard,” and “our main objective is to provide broadband services to every corner of Pakistan at competitive prices,” he continued.

Ryan Goodnight thanked the Minister for his unwavering support and commended Pakistan’s progress in the IT and telecom sectors. We are now ready to move quickly because the foundational work is complete, Ryan continued.

By delivering quicker and more affordable internet services, even in remote areas, this development has the potential to revolutionize Pakistan’s telecommunications sector. The objective of having a connected Pakistan could be significantly advanced with the effective implementation of Starlink’s services in Pakistan.
