Apple is Preparing to Launch a new IPad Air Later this Year with USB-C

This fall, we would see the new generation of Apple iPad Air tablets – this time without the Lightning connector and without the Home button. According to information on Macotakara, the fourth-generation iPad Air would say goodbye to the Lightning connector.

Following the iPad Pro – a USB-C connector would appear in its place. I think that’s great news especially for Macbook users who have only USB-C ports.

On the next iPad Mini, however, the Lightning port will still be present. It is expected that even the new generation iPhones will keep the proprietary connector. In that product category, however, Apple will go directly to a smartphone without ports. The new iPad Mini should instead have an 8.5″ diagonal display and could arrive during the first half of 2021.

It is worth to mention that recently, owners of the iPad Pro complain about spontaneous endless tablet reboot. This issue has occurred on iPadOS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.5 in recent weeks. This happens a few seconds or minutes after logging in. At the same time, no applications, except background ones, are running.

Allegedly, this problem has appeared after upgrading to iPadOS 13.4.1. Moreover, according to recent data, this affects almost only 10.5-inch models. Owners of this model are massively complaining that after the release of the operating system update, their devices continually reboot and become useless.

The most interesting thing is that technical support so far cannot help with this, including using the system’s restore to the basic settings. This seems to be a failure at the operating system level, although there is no official confirmation from the Cupertino company yet.

At the moment, it is unclear whether Apple is working to resolve this problem, because it affected a relatively small number of users. Also, users recommend that before upgrading to iPadOS 13.4.1 to make a hard reset of the tablet.
